Descripción
Sumario:The birth of the newborn by eutocic or normal delivery without complications is the process where the fetus is in a cephalic and flexed position and no alterations are identified during the delivery process that concludes with the arrival of the newborn spontaneously, without complications and in the best of cases without the need for hospitalization after birth. Newborns delivered by cesarean section have a 2 times greater risk of complications and the neonatal mortality rate increases to 2.4 times compared to newborns delivered vaginally. In this study hospital, in the period from January to April 2022, there were 1051 deliveries and of these 442 (42%) were deliveries by cesarean section and of these 54 live births presented presentation dystocia. Observing the hospitalized cases of newborns due to dystocic delivery motivates us for the study to confirm the hypothesis or look for other causes that influence the hospitalization of newborns due to cesarean section.
