Descripción
Sumario:The present study was conducted with the purpose of identifying the relationship between cooperative learning and social skills among secondary school students of Primary and Secondary Educational Institution No. 60053 “Augusto Freyre García,” located in the city of Iquitos, during the year 2025. The study followed a quantitative approach, was basic in nature, and employed a correlational level with a non experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample population consisted of 110 students, to whom two questionnaires were administered as data collection instruments. The results show that more than half of the students, representing 57.3%, are at a medium level of cooperative learning, while 46.4% also reached a medium level in the development of their social skills. Statistical analysis revealed a high positive relationship between both variables, expressed through a Spearman’s Rho coefficient of 0.812 and a significance level of p = 0.000, which is below the established threshold of 0.05. In this regard, it is concluded that cooperative learning strengthened through daily coexistence, teamwork, and mutual support, practices deeply rooted in Amazonian culture maintains a significant relationship with the development of social skills among secondary school students of the educational institution studied in the city of Iquitos.
