description Dado el creciente incremento de la inseguridad ciudadana del distrito de Puente Piedra en los últimos años, la presente tesis aborda como objetivo general determinar la relación de la brecha de financiamiento municipal del servicio de seguridad ciudadana sobre el total de actos delictivos contra el patrimonio registrado en el distrito de Puente Piedra entre los periodos 2014-2021. A tal efecto, se calcula la brecha de financiamiento a partir del análisis de las series de tiempo del ingreso recaudado de la tasa de serenazgo y el gasto devengado del Programa Presupuestal 030 vinculado al servicio de seguridad ciudadana. En tanto, también se analizan las series reportadas por las comisarías PNP Zapallal, Puente Piedra y La Ensenada respecto a la cantidad de actos delictivos contra el patrimonio en sus diferentes tipologías. Complementariamente se realizó una encuesta a 60 servidores públicos, distribuidos entre las comisarias y la municipalidad de Puente Piedra. Entre los principales resultados de la investigación, y habiéndose desestacionalizado las series de tiempo existe evidencia que la cantidad de actos delictivos contra el patrimonio tiene una correlación directa con el nivel de la brecha de financiamiento del servicio de seguridad ciudadana en el orden del 38,5%.
