El programa metodológicamente se enmarca en la secuencia metodológica de la lectura dialógica propuesta por Valls, Soler y Flecha (2008). Este programa consta de cuatro módulos destinados a mejorar las dimensiones de las habilidades lingüísticas: Hablar, escuchar, leer y escribir (Cassany, Luna y Sanz, 2004). Se empleó las tertulias literarias dialógicas dado el valor educativo que presentan, éstas además de animar a los estudiantes hacia la lectura mejoran sus actitudes de respeto y asertividad.
