La selección inicial arrojó un total de 60 artículos potencialmente relevantes. Bajo criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Resultados: se utilizarán 10 artículos científicos seleccionados sobre el Uso de la canela (Cinnamomum verum) como alternativa para el tratamiento de la diabetes mellitus tipo II basada en los métodos de búsqueda y la mayor coincidencia de los mismos. Conclusión: la revisión sistemática destaca el potencial de Cinnamomum verum como una alternativa eficaz y segura para el manejo de la diabetes mellitus tipo II, evidenciando efectos hipoglucemiantes y mejoras en biomarcadores clave. Aunque los resultados son prometedores, se requiere unificar criterios sobre dosis y administración para optimizar su aplicación clínica y consolidar su papel en la medicina complementaria.
