Siendo la población objeto de estudio, la población total, representada por 84 pacientes. En el proceso de recopilación de datos, se empleará como instrumento, una encuesta estructurada llamada la Escala Reducida de Ansiedad (E.R.A), la cual representa una versión reducida de la escala extraída del Inventario de Situaciones y Respuestas de Ansiedad (I.S.R.A.). Resultados: Para realizar el análisis de los datos reunidos, se manejará el programa EXCELL y el software estadístico IBM SPSS Statistics versión 26. Estos resultados procesados, serán mostrados en cuadros estadísticos, los cuales serán elaborados según correspondan a los objetivos planteados. Conclusiones: establecerá un antecedente valioso para la ampliación de la línea de investigación sobre el nivel de ansiedad de los pacientes en la etapa preoperatoria. Los hallazgos del estudio serán de gran valor para el personal de la institución, para mejorar la intervención en ellos, y diseñen estrategias para estos casos, brindando así un cuidado humanizado.

Materials and Methods: this is a quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, and cross-sectional study to be conducted in the city of Cusco. The study population will consist of a total of 84 patients. For data collection, a structured survey called the Reduced Anxiety Scale (R.A.S.) will be used, which is a shortened version of the Anxiety Situations and Responses Inventory (A.S.R.I.). Results: to analyze the collected data, the program Excel and the IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 software will be used. The processed results will be presented in statistical tables, which will be created according to the objectives set. Conclusions: this study will provide valuable background for expanding research on preoperative anxiety levels in patients.
