description El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal determinar las bases para considerar una estructura hecha a base de bambú como alternativa sustentable y viable para sitios turísticos el distrito de san Lucas de Colán – 2019, con una metodología descriptiva y diseño no experimental, y con una muestra de 80 viviendas encuestadas se determinó que el 60% de los habitantes encuestados son dueños y/o socios de negocios vinculados al turismo de los cuales sus las edificaciones el 35.42% de los negocios de estas personas están construidos con bambú, siendo el material predominante además qué el 68.75% de los dueños de estas propiedades no han tenido que endeudarse para poder concretar sus ideas de negocio y que el 23.53% de la población encuestada realizó la construcción con el material escogido porque significó un tiempo de ejecución menor. Concluyendo así que los proyectos planificados de bambú son estructuras de económica, fácil y corta ejecución siendo esta una buena solución ante las diversas necesidades de debido a las características climáticas y un diseño aerodinámico debido a las fuertes corrientes de viento.
