Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo-correlacional y transversal con 400 estudiantes de secundaria (200 niños y 200 niñas, de 12 a 18 años), seleccionados mediante muestreo probabilístico estratificado. Se aplicó un cuestionario validado (CAIPE-R) y los datos se procesaron con el programa SPSS v.26, empleando análisis descriptivo e inferencial (Chi-cuadrado, prueba t de Student y ANOVA). Los resultados mostraron que el 97,7% comprende el concepto de discapacidad y el 89,5% reportó que en sus hogares se promueve la empatía hacia las personas con discapacidad; sin embargo, solo el 31,3% afirmó que su escuela cuenta con infraestructura accesible. Las estudiantes mujeres y quienes habían tenido contacto previo con compañeros con discapacidad mostraron actitudes significativamente más positivas hacia la inclusión. También se encontraron diferencias según el grado escolar, con una mayor apertura inclusiva en los primeros años. Se concluye que la promoción de la empatía en el hogar, el contacto previo y el apoyo escolar son factores clave para fomentar actitudes inclusivas, mientras que las barreras de infraestructura siguen siendo un desafío. Se recomiendan programas inclusivos sostenidos y mejoras en la accesibilidad escolar.
