description La investigación fue del tipo aplicada, de enfoque cuantitativo y diseño correlacional, con el objetivo de determinar la relación que existe entre la inversión pública y la brecha de infraestructura en una municipalidad distrital de Cajamarca, entre 2019 y 2023, asimismo está relacionada con el ODS: Producción y Consumo Responsables, se desarrolló mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario a 80 beneficiarios de los proyectos que se muestra en el SEACE subidos por la municipalidad en estudio, los resultados mostraron que las variables no se relacionan significativamente (R=0,041). Los resultados indicaron que el 51% de encuestados considera que se tienen un nivel bajo de inversión pública, lo que indica que existe insuficiente o ineficiente inversión en la mayoría de zonas de desarrollo y la falta de priorización de proyectos en áreas menos desarrolladas. En cuanto a la brecha de infraestructura, los resultados mostraron que la mayoría de las áreas tiene un nivel alto de brecha de infraestructura 79% lo que indica que no es del todo adecuada, funcional y no cumple con las necesidades de la población.
