It was evident that the majority of participants do not have a clear conceptualization of what emotional education is, this happens because there is little knowledge of the concept and what it implicates. Likewise, it was found that all participants consider the application of an emotional education essential, however, they consider that there are many factors that do not allow them to do it properly, which is affecting the development process of the students.

Likewise, it was found that all participants consider the application of an emotional education essential, however, they consider that there are many factors that do not allow them to do it properly, which is affecting the development process of the students.La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal determinar el papel que le otorgan los docentes de niveles inicial y primaria a una educación emocional en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Para ello, se realizó una investigación con un enfoque cualitativo y se procedió a entrevistar a once docentes pertenecientes a una misma institución educativa de índole privado, utilizando entrevistas a profundidad como herramienta para la recolección de datos. Se evidenció que la gran mayoría de participantes no tienen una conceptualización completa y compleja del término investigado, por ende, no existe una aplicación consistente del constructo dentro de la misma institución educativa.
