No son pocos los artistas peruanos que reivindican, tanto a través de sus procesos como en sus resultados finales, una epistemología de la investigación artística. Sin embargo, falta aún un largo camino por recorrer. Primero, en lo que corresponde a la compilación, catalogación y archivo de esos trabajos. Y segundo, al estudio sistemático y posterior teorización de trabajos que se inscriben dentro del campo de lo que se conoce como investigación artística. Tomando en cuenta la nula o escasa difusión que existe sobre el tema, las premisas para la elaboración de esta guía fueron dos: por un lado, mostrar de una manera exhaustiva los pasos por los que transita una investigación: el proceso, la metodología y los resultados posibles; y, por el otro lado, agrupar algunos ejemplos de estrategias artísticas que podrían incluirse en un muestrario de métodos de investigación.spaPontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
