Materiales y métodos: El estudio será transversal. La población serán todas las tomografías de pacientes que acudieron al Centro Dental Docente de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima-Peru, 2015-2024; la muestra final estará formada por 390 estudios de tomografía. Las variables serán: Tamaño del cóndilo hiperplásico, Tamaño del cóndilo no hiperplásico y sexo. Se usará la prueba estadística t de Student al 95% IC para muestras relacionadas y para muestras independientes. Conclusiones: Se determinó una diferencia evidente entre los cóndilos hiperplásicos (CH) y no hiperplásicos (CNH), destacando una variación cercana a los 4 mm en la dimensión superoinferior.

This condition causes mandibular growth in all three spatial planes, although one plane is usually predominant. Many facial asymmetries are associated with this condition, as it can produce a unilateral reduction in posterior facial height, a deviated chin, and, as a result, obvious facial asymmetry. Objective: To determine the condylar size dimensions in patients with condylar hyperplasia who attended the Teaching Dental Center in Lima, Peru, from 2015 to 2024. Materials and methods: This study was cross-sectional. The population consisted of all CT scans of patients who attended the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia Teaching Dental Center in Lima, Peru, from 2015 to 2024. The final sample consisted of 390 CT scans. The variables were: hyperplastic condyle size, non-hyperplastic condyle size, and sex. Student's t test was used at 95% CI for related samples and for independent samples.
