Descripción
Sumario:This research attempts to complement the scope of the theories that explain the role of parents or guardians in the education of their children, defining the objective of determining the relationship between the participatory management of parents and the learning achievements of students, at I.E San Carlos, Monsefú, in the Lambayeque region. The type of research was basic with a quantitative approach, correlational, descriptive and transversal design; A sample of 100 students was selected for this purpose, to whom a Likert-type questionnaire was applied. It was framed within the theories that explain the relationship between the family and education such as Functionalism, and especially the theory of Social Reproduction from education, by Bourdieu and Passeron and the Effective Schools movements. When contrasting the general hypothesis, with the Fisher's Exact Test statistician, the degree of significance was 0.361, which indicated that the relationship between parental management and learning is a product of chance. One of the conclusions was that, regardless of the family input variables, such as the educational and economic level of the parents of the I.E. San Carlos, family process variables, such as value judgments and own experiences, are the most significant predictive factors that are related to the academic achievements of students and that the role of parents must be advised from the school, in coordination with local governments.
