This research attempts to complement the scope of the theories that explain the role of parents or guardians in the education of their children, defining the objective of determining the relationship between the participatory management of parents and the learning achievements of students, at I.E San Carlos, Monsefú, in the Lambayeque region. The type of research was basic with a quantitative approach, correlational, descriptive and transversal design; A sample of 100 students was selected for this purpose, to whom a Likert-type questionnaire was applied. It was framed within the theories that explain the relationship between the family and education such as Functionalism, and especially the theory of Social Reproduction from education, by Bourdieu and Passeron and the Effective Schools movements.
