It had a total of 134 adolescents belonging to the 4th and 5th year of high school, with ages ranging from 14 to 16 years. The Adolescent Coping Scale (ACS) and the Adolescent Psychological Well-being Scale (Bieps-J) were produced as instruments. The results made it possible to show that adolescents have a good level (51.5%) of psychological well-being and that the coping strategies most frequently used are seeking relaxing entertainment (15.7%) and social action (25, 4 %). The research showed that almost all coping strategies focused on problem solving are directly related to the psychological well-being of adolescents.La investigación tuvo como objetivo establecer la relación de las estrategias de afrontamiento al estrés y el bienestar psicológico de los adolescentes de una Institución Educativa Privada. La investigación fue básica, descriptiva – correlacional, no experimental y transversal. Tuvo un total de 134 adolescentes pertenecientes al 4to y 5to año de secundaria, con edades que oscilan entre 14 a 16 años. Como instrumentos se utilizó la Escala de Afrontamiento para Adolescentes (ACS) y la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico en Adolescentes (Bieps-J). Los resultados permitieron evidenciar que los adolescentes presentan un nivel bueno (51.5%) de bienestar psicológico y las estrategias de afrontamiento de mayor frecuencia de uso son la de buscar diversiones relajantes (15.7%) y la de acción social (25.4%).
