The instruments used were the complete BarOn Ice-NA Emotional Intelligence Inventoryadapted to the Peruvian context by Ugarriza and Pajares (2004) and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale(CAS) translated into Spanish by Rulman (2020). Result: There is a statistically significant relationshipwith a negative direction between emotional intelligence and anxiety (r = -.109* p < 0.05), with theexception of the stress management dimension that maintains a positive relationship with anxiety andthe degree of significance is higher (r = .023, p > 0.05), likewise the intrapersonal dimension maintainsa highly significant positive relationship with anxiety (r= .280**, p < 0.05), while in the interpersonaldimension there is an inverse and highly significant relationship with anxiety ( r = -.183**, p < 0.05),also in the adaptability dimension there is an inverse and highly significant relationship with anxiety (r= -.160**, p < 0.05). Conclusion: The higher the level of Emotional Intelligence, the lower the anxietyscores due to COVID-19 in adolescents from the San Martín region, 2022.Determinar si existe relación significativa entre inteligencia emocional y ansiedad porCOVID-19 en adolescentes de la región San Martín, 2022. Metodología: Diseño no experimental, decorte transversal y tipo correlacional, la muestra de estudio fue de 350 adolescentes de ambos sexosde 11 a 18 años. Los instrumentos que se utilizaron fueron el Inventario de Inteligencia emocionalde BarOn Ice-NA forma completa adaptado al contexto peruano por Ugarriza y Pajares (2004) yCoronavirus Anxiety Scale (CAS) traducido al español por Rulman (2020). Resultado: Existe relaciónestadísticamente significativa con dirección negativa entre inteligencia emocional y ansiedad (r = -,109*p < 0.05), a excepción de la dimensión manejo de estrés que mantiene relación positiva con la ansiedady el grado de significancia es mayor (r = ,023, p > 0.05), de igual modo la dimensión intrapersonalmantiene relación positiva altamente significativa con ansiedad (r=,280**, p < 0.05), mientras que enla dimensión interpersonal existe relación inversa y altamente significativa con ansiedad (r =-,183**,p < 0.05), asimismo en la dimensión adaptabilidad existe relación inversa y altamente significativacon ansiedad (r =-,160**, p < 0.05).
