This article describes this tool.En la consulta ambulatoria, los médicos emplean herramientas e instrumentos que optimizan los tiempos y refuerzan sus capacidades en entrevista clínica dado que regularmente estas interacciones son complejas y van desde problemas nuevos, problemas crónicos, abordaje de problemas de salud mental, entre otros. Los pacientes con problemas nuevos pueden ser abordados con el modelo TOPIC (Tareas orientadas a los procesos de atención ambulatoria), estableciendo un conjunto de tareas y procesos estandarizados para reconocer las necesidades existentes en este tipo de visita.
