The results are proved by means ofthe potential well method, the multiplier technique and suitable unique continuationtheorem for the wave equation with variable coefficients.En este trabajo nos referiremos a la existencia de soluciones fuertes y decaimiento exponencial del total de energía para el problema de condiciones iniciales asociados con la ecuación de onda cuasi-lineal con una fuente no lineal, bajo el supuesto de que la velocidad en la frontera es disipativa.
