Commenting on these cases highlights the importance and significance of the presence of Chagas disease among workers insured Peru; the epiderniológico meaning and impact on work capacity. Emphasis on the danger of spread transfusion sets.Se presenta los primeros casos peruanos de miocarditis y megaformaciones digestivas en pacientes con enfermedad de Chagas. El diagnóstico fue establecido por la reacción de fijación del complemento y la prueba del xenodiagnóstico. Los autores realizan estudio clínico exhaustivo y destacan los hallazgos cardiológicos y de aparato digestivo. En uno hubo miocarditis crónica avanzada que determinó la muerte súbita, facilitando el estudio necrópsico. El segundo enfermo, representa el primer caso peruano de me- gacolon chagásico. Al comentar estos casos, se destaca la importancia y trascendencia de la presencia de enfermedad de Chagas entre los asegurados obreros del Perú; el significado epiderniológico y la repercusión sobre la capacidad de trabajo.
