Leaving two factors: the ability to cope with adverse situations and ability to make appropriate requests, and the Philosophy of Life Questionnaire (FV) of Diaz-Guerrero. Leaving factors: Love adversus Power (FV1) and External Factor adversus Internal Factor (FV2). The result shows a low and positive relationship between variables. Regarding the status of students was only found significant differences in (FV1), where students do not aim their violent behavior by love, while the violent power. Preteens have a better management skills to make timely submissions as adolescents. Also their behavior is guided by love while adolescents for power. As to where students live only factor (FV1) differences, where they are predominant in the center of the capital is the power compared to other sectors.El estudio se realizó en colegios de los conos de Lima Metropolitana, con una muestra de adolescentes y preadolescentes escolares de sexos masculino y femenino, participantes y no participantes en actos violentos. Los instrumentos utilizados se reestructuraron factorialmente, quedando la Escala de Habilidades Sociales (EHS) de Gismero en dos factores: Habilidades para enfrentar situaciones desfavorables y Habilidades para hacer peticiones oportunas, y el Cuestionario de Filosofía de Vida (FV) de Díaz-Guerrero en los factores: Amor adversus Poder (FV1) y el Factor Control Interno adversus Externo (FV2). El resultado muestra una relación baja y positiva entre las variables. En cuanto a la condición de los alumnos sólo se encontró diferencias significativas en FV1, donde los alumnos no violentos orientan su comportamiento por el amor, mientras los violentos por el poder. Los preadolescentes presentan un mejor manejo de las habilidades para hacer peticiones oportunas que los adolescentes. Igualmente su comportamiento se orienta por el amor mientras que los adolescentes por el poder.
