The objective of the study was to design a Didactics in Action program to improve rural teaching practice in Yurimaguas, 2021. A qualitative investigation was carried out and the participation of primary level teachers could be counted on, who were interviewed without any inconvenience. The results showed that there is teacher indifference to updating, which implied the urgent need to formulate improvement proposals that addressed the identified problem. It was concluded that rural teaching practice is in a process of change that involves theoretical, methodological, digital, and investigative aspects that will serve as support in the development of students' learning.La práctica docente en las zonas rurales ha constituido un reto pedagógico en los últimos años, sin embargo, evidenció problemáticas relacionadas con el compromiso e identidad de los profesores en innovar su práctica educacional. El estudio tuvo como objetivo diseñar un programa didáctico en acción para la mejora de la práctica docente rural en Yurimaguas, considerando como período de estudio el año 2021. Se asume una investigación cualitativa, con la participación de docentes del nivel primario quienes fueron entrevistados sin ningún inconveniente. Los resultados mostraron que existe indiferencia docente por actualizarse, lo que implicó la imperiosa necesidad de formular propuestas de mejora que aborden la problemática identificada.
