Evidencias psicométricas de una escala para profesores y padres que mide la conducta prosocial en preescolares

This psychometric research reports the validity and reliability of the scales for teachers and parents of the Weir and Duveen’s Prosocial Behavior Questionnaire. A sample of 370 children (47.84 % female and 52.16 % male) aged 4 and 6 years old, was assessed. The test was applied to parents and 15 preschool teachers. In order to calculate the validity exploratory factor analysis was implemented with the robust unweighted least squares as method for factor extraction and the internal consistency method to estimate the reliability with the Cronbach’s Alfa Test. The results suggested that both scales have a factor structure and adequate levels of reliability, but the item 1 from the scale for parents had to be eliminated. Moreover, the correlations between both scales was low (r = 0.172; p < 0.05), conclu ding that it is more recommendable to use the scale for teachers to measure the prosocial behavior in preschoolers.
