| Sumario: | Objective: Determine the frequency of infection by Covid-19 in pregnant women with labor attended in a health facility of the first level of care, in the district of Ventanilla, Callao Region. Materials and methods: Descriptive and cross-sectional study. The population was made up of pregnant women screened for Covid-19 and who culminated in normal delivery in the establishment, during the period September 2020 - April 2021. The sample was census including 133 pregnant women, whose data were extracted from the Center's Birth Book of health. Results: The mean age of the pregnant women was 27.96 years (SD = 6.15; Range: 17 to 43). 51.9% (n = 69) had their third pregnancy or more, 55.6% (n = 74) had six or more prenatal check-ups, 94% (n = 125) were full-term pregnancies, 90.2% (n = 120) of the infants had an adequate birth weight and 97,7% (n = 130) of the infants had satisfactory Apgar scores. No significant differences were observed between the frequency of negative and positive cases for Covid-19 according to age, number of pregnancies, prenatal control, gestational age at delivery, weight and Apgar at one minute of the newborn (p> 0.05). Conclusions: The frequency of pregnant women with seropositivity for Covid-19 is high, being mostly of the IgG type. In addition, the maternal and fetal characteristics were similar in pregnant women with a negative and positive test for Covid-19.
