The study will be experimental, because there will be influence of the researcher on the variables under study, on the other hand it will be a cross-sectional study, since it indicates that the data collection will be carried out in a single period of time and prospective since the data will be collected after the approach of the study. Results: By carrying out the tests between the different concentrations of the extracts and when they were subjected to the nauplii, it has been determined that the medicinal species from the coast are more toxic than the medicinal species from the mountains, this is due more than anything to two important factors that consider; The first is that the natural habitat that is conducive to our plants under study is the Andean zone and the second factor would be the influence of the coastal environment and human activities that somehow alter the concentrations of the active ingredients. In this way, the difference in DL50 in these two groups of medicinal species is evident in the results. Conclusions: the habitat of the medicinal species influences the concentration of the active ingredients and therefore the LD50.Objetivo: Determinar el resultado de la comparación de la dosis letal media (DL50) de  extractos etanólicos de 5 plantas de la costa  y sierra del Perú. Material y Métodos: Estudio básico de diseño El estudio será de tipo inductivo, experimental, transversal y prospectivo. El estudio será experimental, porque existirá influencia del investigador sobre las variables en estudio, por otro lado será un estudio trasversal, ya que indica que la recolección de datos se realizará en un solo periodo de tiempo y prospectivo ya que los datos serán recolectados posterior al planteamiento del estudio. Resultados: Al realizar las pruebas entre las diferentes concentraciones de los extractos y  al ser  sometidos a los nauplios, se ha determinado que las especies medicinales de la costa son mas tóxicos que las especies medicinales de la sierra, esto debido más que nada a dos factores importantes que considerar; el primero es que el hábitat natural es propicio para nuestras plantas en estudio es la zona andina y el segundo factor sería la influencia del medio ambiente de la costa y las actividades humanas que de alguna manera alteran las concentraciones de los principios activos. De esta manera se evidencia en los resultados la diferencia de las DL50 en estos dos grupos de especies medicinales.
