For this, it is based on a concept or construct, or theory that is the object of study, which is recreated from a real experience and that allows simulated exploration, in order to develop, in the student, his capacity for decision making. For this, the student must carry out research of a bibliographical nature, about either information on the variables or updates on the object of study, which allow him to learn more about the reality of the unit of analysis.The objective of this work is to make a conceptual review of the case study for pedagogical purposes in the area of ??administration. It is shown from the selection of the case, the way it is used in the classroom, as is the participation of both the teacher and the student.Los métodos de enseñanza han cambiado. El método de casos es una metodología activa que busca, a partir de una experiencia real, la exploración simulada por parte del alumno con el fin de desarrollar en él su capacidad para la toma de decisiones. Antes la enseñanza estaba centrada en el profesor, hoy giran alrededor del estudiante y el profesor. Por lo tanto, ambos van a aprender. Para esto, se parte de un concepto o constructo, o teoría que es el objeto de estudio, que se recrea a partir de una experiencia real y que permite la exploración simulada, con el fin de desarrollar, en el alumno, su capacidad para la toma de decisiones. Para esto el estudiante debe realizar investigaciones de índole bibliográfica, a cerca bien sea de información de las variables o de actualizaciones del objeto de estudio, que le permitan conocer más de la realidad de la unidad de análisis. El objetivo de este trabajo es hacer una revisión conceptual del caso de estudio con fines pedagógicos en el área de la administración.
