The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected the mental health of the world's population, particularly those who have suffered a severe illness, increased isolation, and loss of a family member or job positions.Revisión narrativa sobre la epidemiología de los problemas de salud mental relacionados con la pandemia de COVID-19 a nivel mundial, latinoamericano y nacional. Se enfatiza la necesidad de utilizar muestras probabilísticas en los estudios epidemiológicos para tener datos más reales y de usar métodos adecuados y uniformes para la determinación de trastornos mentales.
