La presente investigación analizó las propiedades psicométricas del cuestionario Cognitive Behavioral Physical Activity (CBPAQ) en una muestra de 203 estudiantes universitarios limeños, su edad osciló entre los 18 y 25 años (M = 21.38; DE = 2.08). El CBPAQ integra dos factores que contribuyen a explicar la realización de actividad física. Este cuestionario fue traducido, revisado por expertos en la salud, piloteado y, por último, aplicado a la muestra objetivo. Se realizó un análisis factorial exploratorio usando el método de máxima verosimilitud con rotación varimax, en cual se obtuvo que el modelo explica el 58.81% de la varianza; es decir, el factor de expectativas de resultado y autorregulación y el otro factor es barreras percibidas. Asimismo, se obtuvo una confiabilidad por consistencia interna para cada de las áreas; expectativas de resultado y autorregulación (α = .87) y barreras percibidas (α = .80). Respecto a la validez de criterio, se utilizó el puntaje total de IMC y CBPAQ, en el cual se reportaron que no existen diferencias significativas, en cuanto a la validez de discriminante se utilizó el GPAQ y para validez convergente el AMPEF. Es así, que se concluye que se requiere seguir investigando a este instrumento. |

Es así, que se concluye que se requiere seguir investigando a este instrumento.The study analyzed the psychometric properties of the Cognitive Behavioral Physical Activity Questionnaire (CBPAQ) in a sample of 203 university students from Lima, aged 18 and 25 years (M = 21.38, SD = 2.08). CBPAQ integrates two factors that could explain the performance of physical activity. This questionnaire was translated, reviewed by health experts, piloted, and applied to a target sample. An exploratory factor analysis was performed using the Maximum Likelihood method with Varimax rotation, in which it was obtained that the model explains 58.81% of the variance; that is, the factor of perceived barriers and self-regulation and outcome expectations. Likewise, a reliability index was obtained for internal consistency for each area; outcome expectations and self-regulation (α = .87) and perceived barriers (α = .80). Regarding the validity of the criterion, the total score of BMI and CBPAQ, in which it was reported that there are no significant differences, in terms of the validity of discrimination the GPAQ is used and for convergent validity the AMPEF.
