Los instrumentos empleados fueron la prueba Miofuncional Orofacial – MBGR para evaluar el habla, y el cuestionario para padres de familia para medir la variable hábitos de succión. En cuanto a las conclusiones, no existe relación entre los hábitos de succión y el habla en niños de educación inicial de una institución pública de Surco, Lima, 2023. Así mismo respecto al nivel de los hábitos de succión en los niños participantes del estudio se obtuvo que el nivel es no persistente representando el 82.69% de acuerdo a la percepción de los padres de familia. Sobre el nivel del habla se obtuvo que fue regular representando un 79.81% del total de niños sometidos a la prueba de evaluación del habla. Y finalmente respecto a la relación entre los hábitos de succión y las dimensiones del habla se determinó que no existe relación dado que la significancia bilateral fue mayor a 0.05.

A non-experimental design of a basic type and a descriptive and correlational level was used, having had a sample of 120 early education children, and non-probabilistic sampling was applied. The instruments used were the Orofacial Myofunctional Test – MBGR to measure speech, and the questionnaire for parents to measure the sucking habits variable. Regarding the conclusions, there is no relationship between sucking habits and speech in children in early education from a public institution in Surco, Lima, 2023. Likewise, regarding the level of sucking habits in the children participating in the study, obtained that the level is non-persistent, representing 82.69% according to the perception of the parents. Regarding the level of speech, it was found to be regular, representing 79.81% of the total number of children subjected to the speech evaluation test.
