Dicho crecimiento no está ajeno a la realidad peruana en donde podemos observar que nuestro país está empezando a desarrollar la tecnología y las habilidades necesarias para hacer de esta industria un elemento importante en la economía nacional, y ser considerado dentro de los tres principales productores de especies acuícolas en Latinoamerica. Es importante que Perú logre desarrollar la acuicultura continental y la maricultura para posicionarse al nivel de sus competidores latinoamericanos como lo son Chile, Brasil y Ecuador, quienes se han especializado principalmente en salmón, tilapia y langostinos respectivamente. Asimismo, es importante indicar que el crecimiento del sector depende directamente del esfuerzo de todos los actores como son las empresas privadas, pequeños piscicultores, entidades gubernamentales y el sector educación los cuales deben alinear sus estrategias para alcanzar los objetivos planteados de corto y largo plazo. Este trabajo de investigación presenta las estrategias y tácticas que debe realizar el sector acuícola peruano para convertir a esta industria en un sector atractivo para las inversiones nacionales y extranjeras, y en los próximos años convertirse en un referente latinoamericano, siendo un ejemplo por su desarrollo tecnológico, variedad de productos, su responsabilidad con el medio ambiente y su importante aporte nutricional para la población del mundo.

This growth is not alien to the Peruvian reality where we can see that our country is beginning to develop the technology and skills necessary to make this industry an important element in the national economy, and be considered within the three main producers of species aquaculture in Latin America In order to make Peru a world reference is important to develop continental aquaculture and mariculture so that Peru can compete at the same level with its peers in Latin America such as Chile, Brazil and, Ecuador who have specialized their aquaculture in salmon, tilapia and, prawns respectively. Is also important to indicate that the growth of the industry depends directly on the efforts of all actors: private companies, small fish farmers, government entities and the education sector. These entities must align their strategies to achieve the short and long-term goals.
