description El documento presenta conocimientos básicos respecto a la gestión socioambiental llevada a cabo por el Organismo de Evaluación y Fiscalización Ambiental (OEFA) en el marco de sus competencias como ente rector del Sistema Nacional de Evaluación y Fiscalización Ambiental (Sinefa). En la gestión socioambiental se prioriza la atención oportuna y eficiente de los conflictos socioambientales, implementando acciones de prevención, tratamiento y seguimiento de compromisos que abarca el macroproceso de la fiscalización (evaluación, supervisión y fiscalización). Esta labor se realiza promoviendo el uso de sistemas y tecnologías de la información e investigación en dicha materia, lo cual permite llevar a cabo una mejor fiscalización ambiental y establecer una relación de confianza y cercanía con la ciudadanía. La publicación ofrece un glosario de términos relacionados a la gestión socioambiental. Asimismo, señala el funcionamiento de la Coordinación de gestión socioambiental (CGSA) del Oefa, las principales acciones que esta área realiza, la definición de intervención territorial, las etapas de intervención, los instrumentos de gestión y los mecanismos de participación ciudadana.
