The statistical analysis of the data obtained, allowed to establish differences at the level of sex in the emotional impact of COVID 19 in the dimensions: fear and depression, in favor of university students; And, according to educational management, there are no differences between university students in terms of the emotional impact of COVID 19.La investigación tuvo como objetivo establecer las diferencias del impacto emocional por el COVID 19 entre estudiantes universitarios, de acuerdo a su género y gestión educativa. Se trabajó bajo un enfoque cuantitativo y con un diseño descriptivo comparativo. La población de estudio estuvo conformada por 418 estudiantes, de ambos sexos, pertenecientes a una universidad pública y a una privada, a quienes se les aplicó el cuestionario de Perfil de Impacto Emocional por COVID-19 (PIE COVID-19) elaborado por García Pérez y Magaz (2020).
