The ANOVA test showed no relationship between the course variable and self-esteem (F = 0.400 p = 0.844). The T test showed a relationship between the variables self-esteem and sex (p = 0.039). Regarding the comparison by sex, it is observed that there is a significant difference in the self-esteem of men versus women, the former being the ones with the highest self-esteem, recommending strengthening self-esteem in the female population. Conclusions: It is recommended that there is a work of psycho-affective support, from the strengthening of the perception of self-esteem along with the inclusion of students with ADHD in all municipal schools and subsidized private schools in the city of Chillán. Emphasizing working with girls, who are diagnosed with ADHD, based on improving self-esteem along with the self-concept they perceive of themselves.
  Objetivo: Medir la autoestima de escolares de 8 a 13 años diagnosticados con TDAH. En colegios particulares y colegios municipales de la ciudad de Chillán. Metodología: Se utilizó metodología cuantitativa, transversal. Se aplicó el Test de Autoestima Escolar (TAE) de Marchant, Isabel Haeussler y Torretti. Resultados: Al finalizar la investigación se evidenció diferencia significativa entre la autoestima de los estudiantes de colegios particulares subvencionados y municipales (p = 0,771), el test estadístico exacto de Fisher no demostró relación entre las variables tipo de colegio y autoestima (p=0,597). La prueba ANOVA no demostró relación entre la variable curso y la autoestima (F= 0,400 p=0,844). La prueba T demostró relación entre las variables autoestima y sexo (p=0,039). En cuanto a la comparación por sexo, se observa que existe una diferencia significativa en la autoestima de hombres versus mujeres, siendo los primeros quienes presentan una autoestima más elevada, recomendándose fortalecer la autoestima en la población femenina. Conclusiones: Se recomienda que exista un trabajo de apoyo psicoafectivo, desde el fortalecimiento de la percepción de la autoestima junto con la inclusión de los estudiantes con TDAH en todas las escuelas municipales y colegios particulares subvencionados de la ciudad de Chillán. Enfatizando el trabajar con niñas, que son diagnosticadas con TDAH, en función de mejorar la autoestima junto con el autoconcepto que perciban de ellas mismas.
