Cacophony is a language vice that is committed in oral and written forms. It consists of an unpleasant sound for the ear, originating from the unnecessary, recurrent or close repetition of phonemes in the same sentence or from the inappropriate combination of the different components of a sentence. It constitutes a very frequent linguistic fact in the professional context of the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara, Cuba. Ambiguity in linguistic expression causes an alteration in the transmitted message, which has an unfavorable impact on the recipient's interpretation. It constitutes a fact observed in all contexts, including the professional one, such as that of the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara, Cuba. Hence, the objective of the work was to analyze the negative effects caused by this phenomenon in professional communication. Consequently, a descriptive and synchronous study was carried out, where theoretical methods - analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction - were used; empirical methods—observation and documentary review—as well as systematic exchange with professionals from that institution. El desarrollo de los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje del postgrado constituye hoy una de las realidades menos exploradas en el campo de la investigación científica, por lo que precisa de una sistematización consecuente que aporte innovaciones desde sus necesidades más urgentes, sobre todo si estas se enfocan a resolver un problema de salud como lo es el cáncer bucal. Con el objetivo de diseñar un programa de superación profesional sobre el Programa de Detección Precoz del Cáncer Bucal, para médicos y enfermeras de la Atención Primaria de Salud, se desarrolló un estudio con enfoque mixto en tres etapas.
