Evalua polifenoles, flavonoides, actividad antioxidante, anticolagenasa y antielastasa in vitro del extracto hidroalcohólico de sus tallos y hojas. Mediante pruebas fitoquímicas se identificaron polifenoles, flavonoides, triterpenoides, lactonas, glucósidos, antraquinonas y taninos. Los métodos de Folin-Ciocalteu y formación del complejo de flavonoides con tricloruro de aluminio, cuantificaron 5,7459 ± 0,0127 mg GAE/g y 86,7086 ± 0,0656 mg QE/g de compuestos fenólicos y flavonoides, respectivamente. Introduction. - The "nogal peruano" is a large tree distributed in several regions of Peru, mainly in areas of late secondary and mature forests. Species supplying antioxidant essential oils are considered valuable for health applications.
