Evalua polifenoles, flavonoides, actividad antioxidante, anticolagenasa y antielastasa in vitro del extracto hidroalcohólico de sus tallos y hojas. Mediante pruebas fitoquímicas se identificaron polifenoles, flavonoides, triterpenoides, lactonas, glucósidos, antraquinonas y taninos. Los métodos de Folin-Ciocalteu y formación del complejo de flavonoides con tricloruro de aluminio, cuantificaron 5,7459 ± 0,0127 mg GAE/g y 86,7086 ± 0,0656 mg QE/g de compuestos fenólicos y flavonoides, respectivamente. En la medición de actividad antioxidante los resultados demostraron inhibición de radicales libres en los métodos DPPH•, ABTS•+, reducción del hierro férrico en el método FRAP (p<0,05) y se expresaron en capacidad antioxidante equivalente a trolox (TEAC-DPPH• y ABTS•+) y ácido ascórbico (AAEAC-FRAP), obteniéndose 31,2018 mg/g, 87,7822 mg/g y 315,3846 μmol AA/g de ext...

Introduction. - The "nogal peruano" is a large tree distributed in several regions of Peru, mainly in areas of late secondary and mature forests. Species supplying antioxidant essential oils are considered valuable for health applications. Essential oils with various constituents show synergistic effects and can be an effective alternative to prevent diseases.Objectives. - To evaluate the chemical composition, antioxidant and anti-Candida albicans activity of the essential oil of Juglans neotropica Diels leaves.Materials and methods. - The essential oil was obtained by steam distillation. Exposing our skin continuously to ultraviolet radiation can cause conditions such as erythema, premature aging even skin cancer, which can be prevented by using dermocosmetic products with antioxidant activity. The main objective of the study was to develop a dermocosmetic cream enriched with active ingredients coming from hydroalcoholic extract of Chenopodium quinoa Willd. and ethanolic extract of Calendula officinalis Vahl. For that, a phytochemical screening was performed using coloration and precipitation reactions. Then, the cream was prepared and its stability was evaluated by heat shock. Antioxidant activity was determined using DPPH•, ABTS●+, and FRAP methods.
