At present the diagnosis and treatment of yeast infections fungal pathogens is receiving more attention by researchers ( 1, 6 , 7, 9 , 10, 16 , 17) . In our area, genital infections yeast pathogens is common, due to treatment of bacterial infections with broad-spectrum antibiotics (4, 6, 16 ) . Other authors have noted this effect and hormonal conditions as triggers of thrush (2, 3, 5 , 6, 7 , 8, 11 , 12, 13, 18 , 19, 20 ) . In diagnostic laboratories tend to implement the use of Mycostatin discs to assess their sensitivity in the presence of yeast infection from each ; however, similar references are known about gentian violet in spite of its widespread use in therapy . The purpose of this paper is to provide a method of healthcare worker practical value to determine the sensitivity of yeast to gentian violet disk and make known the antifungal effect of the two substances are studied ag...

Has been isolated from the environment 14 groups of pollutants filamentous fungi using the agar medium fresh tomato . They investigated faith selective reactions carbohydrates fermentation to 18 , their mutual reactions and production of deoxyribonuclease ( DNase ) . Was found to have a preference for certain ferment carbohydrates such as sucrose , galactose, mannose , maltose , raffinose, melibiose , by Aspergillus fumigatus , Aspergillus nigricana , Aspergillus ochraceus , Aspergillus oryzae , Alternaria , CunninghameIla , clades Porium herbarum , Fusarium roseum , Glenospora , Hormodendrum , bicolor Penicillium , Penicillium sp. ACI -9 strain , Rhizopus and Trichophyton sp. That varieties of fungi within the same genus have different fermentative power as with the Aspergillus fumigatus , Aspergillus nigricans , Aspergillus ochraceus and Aspergillus ONZAE on the adonitol , arabinose , ...

The eruption of the Hunga Tonga Hunga Ha’apai volcano on 15 January 2022 significantly impacted the lower and upper atmosphere globally. Using multi-instrument observations, we described disturbances from the sea surface to the ionosphere associated with atmospheric waves generated by the volcanic eruption. Perturbations were detected in atmospheric pressure, horizontal magnetic field, equatorial electrojet (EEJ), ionospheric plasma drifts, total electron content (TEC), mesospheric and lower thermospheric (MLT) neutral winds, and ionospheric virtual height measured at low magnetic latitudes in the western South American sector (mainly in Peru). The eastward Lamb wave propagation was observed at the Jicamarca Radio Observatory on the day of the eruption at 13:50 UT and on its way back from the antipodal point (westward) on the next day at 07:05 UT. Perturbations in the horizontal compon...

BACKGROUND: These clinical standards aim to provide guidance for diagnosis, treatment, and management of drug-susceptible TB in children and adolescents. METHODS: Fifty-two global experts in paediatric TB participated in a Delphi consensus process. After eight rounds of revisions, 51/52 (98%) participants endorsed the final document. RESULTS: Eight standards were identified: Standard 1, Age and developmental stage are critical considerations in the assessment and management of TB; Standard 2, Children and adolescents with symptoms and signs of TB disease should undergo prompt evaluation, and diagnosis and treatment initiation should not depend on microbiological confirmation; Standard 3, Treatment initiation is particularly urgent in children and adolescents with presumptive TB meningitis and disseminated (miliary) TB; Standard 4, Children and adolescents should be treated with an approp...

B A C K G R O U N D: The aim of these clinical standards is to aid the diagnosis and management of asthma in low-resource settings in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). M E T H O D S: A panel of 52 experts in the field of asthma in LMICs participated in a two-stage Delphi process to establish and reach a consensus on the clinical standards. R E S U L T S: Eighteen clinical standards were defined: Standard 1, Every individual with symptoms and signs compatible with asthma should undergo a clinical assessment; Standard 2, In individuals (>6 years) with a clinical assessment supportive of a diagnosis of asthma, a hand-held spirometry measurement should be used to confirm variable expiratory airflow limitation by demonstrating an acute response to a bronchodilator; Standard 3, Pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry should be performed in individuals (>6 years) to support diagnosis be...

The skin is the largest organ of the body that protects it from the external environment. High- frequency ultra sound (HF-US) has been used to visualize the skin in depth and to diagnose some pathologies in dermatological applications. Quantitative ultrasound (QUS) includes several techniques that provide values of particular physical properties. In this thesis work, three QUS parameters are explained and used to characterize healthy skin through HF-US: attenuation coefficient slope (ACS), backscatter coefficient (BSC) and shear wave speed (SWS). They were estimated with the regularized spectral-log difference (RSLD) method, the reference phan- tom method, and the crawling wave sonoelastography method, respectively. All the three parameters were assessed in phantoms, ex vivo and in vivo skin. In calibrated phantoms, RSLD showed a reduc- tion of up to 93% of the standard deviation concern...
