El desarrollo de la actividad agrícola en el departamento de Tumbes se basa sobre todo en el cultivo y producción de arroz y plátano, que en su conjunto representan el 92% del total del valor bruto de su producción. Estos dos cultivos, ocupan el 90% de las 17,871 hectáreas sembradas en la última campaña Se trabajó con una muestra de 40 agricultores que pertenecen asociaciones de productores de banano orgánico en el valle del rio Tumbes; se han empleado dos cuestionarios confiables y debidamente validados para la recolección de datos de las variables en estudio y se procesó la información a través del software de SPSS. To assess their social well-being, the Keyes social well-being scale was adapted to the school context. Psychometric properties were analyzed in 899 teachers and school staff in Valparaíso, Chile. The results suggest that 22 items are suitable for use, showing good fit to the data. Smaller school size and school participation are associated with higher social well-being. The adapted scale can be a useful tool to measure socio-affective variables of adults in the school community.

We present the record of an individual of northern tamandua (Tamandua mexicana) with abnormal white coloration that was photographed with a camera trap in the equatorial dry forest in the department of Lambayeque, at elevation of 560 m, northwest Peru. We could not determine if this chromatic aberration was a case of leucism or albinism, but we highlight this uncommon record as the first for Peru. We also revised the information about its presence in the southern portion of its global range.
