Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease with a clinical debut in 15% to 20% of cases during childhood, most of them with a more severe course compared to SLE during adulthood. This study aims to determine the classification criteria and disease activity index at the time of onset in pediatric patients hospitalized between 2014 and 2019 at the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño, one of the most specialized pediatric institutes located in Lima, Peru. Only 39 medical records met the inclusion criteria. The mean age at onset was 12.3±2.7 years, with 87.2% of cases occurring in females. Gastrostomy in patients who are unable to feed satisfactorily is an important and increasingly common intervention. Determina el efecto de la gastrostomía en la frecuencia de enfermedad respiratoria de pacientes con parálisis cerebral infantil tratados en un hospital público de Lima Perú. Estudio observacional, analítico, cohorte histórica. La población de estudio fueron pacientes menores de 18 años con diagnóstico de parálisis cerebral infantil que se atendieron en el Instituto de Salud del Niño durante los años 2013 al 2017. La exposición fue la presencia de gastrostomía por al menos un año. Para ambas cohortes las variables desenlace correspondió a la presencia de infecciones respiratorias altas y/o bajas a partir del inicio del seguimiento. La arteritis de Takayasu es una entidad rara en pediatría y su presentación clínica plantea diversos diagnósticos diferenciales. Se publica el caso de un adolescente de 14 años que ingresó a un Hospital de Lima con convulsiones tónico clónicas generalizadas e hipertensión arterial de grado 2. Posteriormente fue derivado para estudio al Instituto de Salud del Niño de Lima, Perú. Se revisa los criterios diagnósticos, su evolución y tratamiento.
