This article has to identify Franzon’s translation strategies used in the Spanish dubbing of the songs from the movie Toy Story 2. This was a descriptive investigation since the different types of Franzon’s strategies and their frequency of use were identified. appearance. On the other hand, this research had a non-experimental design since only the behavior of said study phenomenon was observed without manipulating the translation strategies variable. Finally, the logical inductive method was used in the analysis of the samples. Legal translation is an active and growing field of expertise, for which it is necessary to prepare translation students adequately. It is therefore important to determine the competencies associated with legal translation. In this review, we have tried to gather some of the most significant contributions in this regard. The models developed by Dorothy Cao, Fernando Prieto, Beata Piecychna, Ewa Kościałkowska-Okońska, Federia Scarpa and Daniele Orlando, and Guadalupe Soriano are thus reviewed. The contribution of authors highlighting the importance of some particular competences is also collected.

The present research seeks to identify and analyze the translation strategies of idioms that are used in the translation into Spanish of the young adult novel “Under the Same Star”, written by John Green and published in 2012. For this purpose we will use as main theoretical framework Mona Baker’s proposals.
