Las praderas altoandinas soportan la crianza mixta de rumiantes; vacunos, ovinos y camélidos que se alimentan de los pastos nativos. Sin embargo, el uso inadecuado de estas praderas ha generado el deterioró reduciendo la cobertura vegetal.
