As members of the San Marcos community we are committed to recover the true image that corresponds to the University and therefore to the Faculty of Education. This goal requires us to overcome a limited perspective, banish indifference to activate join as members of a caring, responsible, participatory, creative and innovative. We must give priority to the quality of training provided in all schools, specialties and programs. The academic performance should be the essential principle, supplemented with the essential functions of research and the role of university extension and outreach. These three functions should be the principle that consensus and unanimously east our daily work, defining our institutional policy that guides our decisions, getting involved in the knowledge society, in the internalization of higher education and scientific-technological revolution of the new millenni...

The main objective of this study was to determine if there are differences in the manner of carrying out vocational guidance among public and private schools of the city of Lima. The study sample consisted of 244 subjects, 98 men and 146 women, students of University High of San Marcos Center for Special Cycle 2011-2012. The mean age was 16.3 years. For the realization of this research was developed and implemented the Rating Scale Vocational Guidance (EEOV), an instrument based on the model of vocational guidance Manuel Alvarez et al. (1994). The results indicate that the group of public school no different private schools group in the overall score of the scale.
