University extension and social outreach: a fundamental task that requires a strategic planning

As members of the San Marcos community we are committed to recover the true image that corresponds to the University and therefore to the Faculty of Education. This goal requires us to overcome a limited perspective, banish indifference to activate join as members of a caring, responsible, participatory, creative and innovative. We must give priority to the quality of training provided in all schools, specialties and programs. The academic performance should be the essential principle, supplemented with the essential functions of research and the role of university extension and outreach. These three functions should be the principle that consensus and unanimously east our daily work, defining our institutional policy that guides our decisions, getting involved in the knowledge society, in the internalization of higher education and scientific-technological revolution of the new millennium. One of the fundamental purposes of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and the Faculty of Education is linked to the effect of extending community and project their cultural, scientific, technological and service.
