El bufeo colorado (Inia geoffrensis) es el delfín rosado que vive en los ríos de la cuenca amazónica y es el protagonista de una de las más difundidas narraciones de la tradición oral de las poblaciones indígenas y ribereñas de la zona, para las que posee facultades metamórficas. El bufeo, de hecho, puede transformarse en un hombre de rasgos occidentales, un “gringo” alto, muchas veces rubio y con los ojos claros y, frecuentemente, se indica como el padre de los niños de los que se ignora la paternidad. En este trabajo se traza una panorámica de su presencia en algunas novelas ambientadas en la selva, para demostrar cómo los autores —en la mayoría de los casos— aprovechan este relato exclusivamente para perpetuar estereotipos sobre la selva vista como “infierno verde” y sobre la sexualidad de sus habitantes. Se propone un análisis lingüístico y sociolingüístico de la página de Facebook “En la selva dicen”, una comunidad en línea que recopila y publica frases en las que se emplean elementos típicos de la variante amazónica del castellano peruano. El objetivo del estudio es examinar las peculiaridades fonológicas, morfosintácticas y lexicales del castellano amazónico peruano, las maneras como esta variedad es percibida y modificada y, sobre todo, el rol de las redes sociales en la preservación y creación de una identidad compartida, alejada de estereotipos y prejuicios.

El breve libro "La historia jamás contada sobre la época del caucho. Dos testimonios indígenas" aporta una contribución notable a una bibliografía cada vez más amplia acerca de la época del caucho, presentando un ejemplo desde la perspectiva indígena sobre el tema.

Tomando como punto de partida las peculiaridades que caracterizan el castellano amazónico peruano en sus diversas variedades, este trabajo se propone un análisis dialectológico de la novela Paiche, del escritor y pintor César Calvo de Araújo. En primer término, se examinan las estrategias empleadas por el autor para condensar y reproducir en la obra las principales marcas del sistema fonológico, y, en segundo término, se analiza la dimensión morfosintáctica, dedicando especial atención a los aspectos relacionados con los posesivos y la discordancia nominal.

This paper proposes a linguistic and sociolinguistic analysis of the Facebook page “En la selva dicen”, an online community that collects and publishes phrases using typical elements of the Amazonian variety of Peruvian Castilian. The purpose of the study is to examine the phonological, morphosyntactic and lexical features of the Peruvian Amazonian Castilian, the ways in which this variety is perceived and changed and, above all, the role of social networks in its preservation and creation of a shared identity, without stereotypes and prejudices.

This article analyzes a group of images and testimonies compiled in Nuevo coronavirus y buen gobierno. Memorias de la pandemia de COVID-19 en Perú by the Ayacucho artist and anthropologist Edilberto Jiménez based on three axes: the representations of the virus in the popular imagination, the subjective and objective violence of the virus as captured in the drawings, and the construction of civil society agency in the face of this violence.
