This article analyzes the application of neuroscience techniques in the production of fiction series to measure attention levels and emotional engagement. Emotional content design has significant effects on the audience, emphasizing the importance of considering their sensitivity. For this purpose, the technology of Sociograph, a neuromarketing consultancy, was used to measure these parameters using digital sensors that detect unconscious changes in the electrical resistance of the skin. Wilkie's syndrome or superior mesenteric artery syndrome is an unusual cause of proximal intestinal obstruction, primarily attributed to recent weight loss. We report the case of a 19-year-old woman comes to our clinic and reports weight loss, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Laboratory tests revealed anemia, hypoalbuminemia, hypomagnesemia, and asuppressed thyroid stimulating hormone secondary to levothyroxine. A barium swallow test showed gastric dilatation, delayed gastric emptying and an axial computed tomography revealed an aortomesenteric angle of 11.7°. Conservative management with total parenteral and enteral nutrition was initiated, being the first-line treatment. In refractory cases surgery is a safe and effective option.

Clinical monitoring of pulmonary arterial hypertension in our country, in which patients come from different altitudes above sea level, forces us to rule out pulmonary hypertension in relation to chronic exposure to high heights, described in third group of international classification. When reviewing the hemodynamic variations in pulmonary pressure with exercise at altitude with respect to sea level in healthy patients, this is greater in height, this would explain that the patient with pulmonary arterial hypertension is more symptomatic while living at a higher altitude above sea ​​level.

El seguimiento clínico de la hipertensión arterial pulmonar en nuestro país, en el que los pacientes proceden de distintas altitudes sobre el nivel del mar, nos obliga a descartar hipertensión pulmonar en relación con la exposición crónica a grandes alturas, descrita en el tercer grupo de la clasificación internacional. Al revisar las variaciones hemodinámicas de la presión pulmonar con ejercicio en altura con respecto al nivel del mar en pacientes sanos, esta es mayor en altura, lo que explica la mayor sintomatología en altura. Presentamos un caso clínico de hipertensión pulmonar que presentó valores diferentes en la hemodinámica de altura y a nivel del mar.

In conclusion the talk show has a great capacity for hybridization and adaptation as it can be found in all kinds of programs and diverse genres. Although there are no great differences between talk shows produced by private channels and the public broadcaster, given its commercial foundations, TVE has opted to a greater extent for formulas such as interviews and debates, and to a lesser extent for testimonial TV shows.

The sequencing indicated the presence of three species of bacteria: MAP, Mycobacterium abscessus and Dietzia timorensis. The presence of MAP in the department of Sucre is identified for the first time.

Fields visits were done between January and May 2016 in five populations of the municipality of Valencia, Colombia. The phenotypic characterization of the adult animals present in the farms was performed in relation to the autosomal markers of morphological codification Extension, Agouti, Cream, Gris, White, Tobiano, Overo and Roan. The results showed absence of the markers White and Overo, whereas the markers Extension and Agouti had the largest frequencies, possibly favored by artificial selection due to temperament and cunning respectively. Populations were found in equilibrium Hardy-Weinberg and showed excess of homozygotes and high levels of gene flow.

The objective of the study was to characterize microorganisms with probiotic potential of manure of lactating Brahman calves in Sucre (Colombia). Bacteria and yeasts were isolated from manure samples and the probiotic capacity of these strains was determined by bile salt resistance test (0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.3%), resistance to acidic pH (pH 3, 4, 5.6, 7 ), tolerance to NaCl (2, 4, 6, 8, 10%) and antagonistic activity (Salmonella sp and Escherichia coli). Nine microorganisms were identified and three passed the tolerance tests. The antagonistic capacity was determined against pathogenic bacteria (Salmonella sp and E. coli), evidenced by halos (mm) of the three selected strains.
