The authors of this work have been doing for a long time a synchronic study of emerging language phenomena that have become socially recurrent, up to the point of being stereotyped. This situation is also in Medical College from Villa Clara, Cuba, whose professionals, of course, are part of it. Hence, the objective is: to analyze some harmful and recurrent phenomena in current professional language. There were applied mainly the theoretical methods of analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction; besides, the empirical methods of observation and document review. Along with it, the systematic exchange with professionals of the Institution has been useful. Translation of scientifi c writing constitutes a diffi culty at Medical College from Villa Clara, Cuba; mainly, in spelling, lexical and syntactic levels: misuse of foreign words, articles, prepositions, and overuse of passive voice and gerund. Thus, a postgraduate course directed to these professionals was designed to eradicate such defi ciencies; therefore, the authors intend to show its results. Theoretical methods were applied: analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction and empirical ones: observation of the course development and a broad document review of scientifi c abstracts written by Cubans and foreigners related to Health. Consequently, the results were very favorable; 12 out of 15 students were good graded, and three were excellent. There is acceptance and establishment of methodological stereotypes by professionals at the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara, Cuba. This is due to theoretical ignorance about the interrelation of linguistics with the methodology of research in the conscious expression of scientifi c language. Th e situation has served as a motivation to these authors to reverse it through the design and development of a course aimed at these university students.
