The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of COVID-19 on the average income contribution of  workers in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors in the Tacna region and its effect on social polarization, as well as to establish the impact of COVID-19 on the propensity to save on a monthly basis. The type of  research was descriptive, the measurement instrument used was the questionnaire, through the application  of the survey. It was determined that the average economic income was determined that amounted to -55.6 %, -50.0 % and -85.0 % for the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors respectively, as well as the marginal  propensity to save decreased by -73.4% due to COVID-19 in the Tacna region. The Candarave Geyser Valley is an important high Andean ecosystem in Tacna, noted for its geothermal resources and biodiversity. In order to economically assess this ecosystem, the research was conducted using the contingent valuation method, with questionnaires administered to 242 adults. The results reveal a willingness to pay (WTP) of S/ 75,841.00 for the value of use (VU) and a non-use value (NUV) of S/ 1,693.00, totaling both as the total economic value (TEV), with an ecosystem value of S/ 2.80 per ha/year. Significant associations (p<0.05) were found in direct use value: between the recreational aspect of the ecosystem and the number of family members; the presence of grazing animals in the area; and the ecotourism value of the area with the number of family members willing to visit the Geysers. El objetivo del estudio fue describir la ingeniería tecnológicade alimentación para el rendimiento de peso total de cuyes,Tacna-Perú. El estudio se realizó en la Granja Santa Rosa(latitud 17°56’28 y altitud 702 msnm) del Distrito de Pocollay(Tacna, Perú). La alimentación de los cuyes se basó en cuatrotratamientos (T1 = FVH con cebada libre + concentradolimitado, T2 = FVH con cebada limitado + concentradolibre, T3 = maíz chala limitado + concentrado libre y T4 =maíz chala libre + concentrado limitado).
