In the industry every time more is generalized the manufacture of varied products of simultaneous way with similar values, denominated joint products from the same raw material and/or process of manufacture, giving rise to the joint cost. Then the Engineer of Processes faces the necessity to calculate the costs of these individual products, task that often is a cornplex subject since the joint costs are not specifically identifiable with some of the products that are making in simultaneous form. The intention of this eighth part is to provide the excellent models, methodology and criteria of how it must assign the joint costs to each joint product.

This work aims to simulate a bioreactor to produce ethanol from glucose using immobilized cells . First, we have proceeded to statistically evaluate the proposed kinetic models , from which we selected the model Aiba , Shoda and Nagathani [18 ] as the most appropriate model . Second, the values of the simulated fermentation have been validated by comparing the results with experimental data and Mutharasan Gencer [17 ] . Finally , the yield of ethanol production was simulated by considering a bioreactor of PFR type . The solution of the equations of material balance was done using Runge Kutta algorithm in Mathcad 7P IV . Comparison of simulated and experimental Mutharasan Gencer sample values appropriate arrangement .

The inadequate final disposal of hazardous industrial waste, such as bentonite used in the refining processes of contaminated automotive lubricants, generates a series of negative environmental impacts on water, air and soil resources. To contribute to the minimization of these impacts, the purpose of the present investigation was to evaluate the biodegradation capacity of a sample of automotive lubricating oil trapped in bentonite clay, using the bacterial consortium Oil Eating Microbes (Rodhococus pyridinivorans, Pseudomonas montielli and Bacillus sp.). To obtain the maximum performance of the biodegradation of the oil (reduction of total hydrocarbons of oil in the clay), by the bacterial consortium, two experimental tests were carried out, in a five liter capacity bioreactor, where the concentration of biodegradation of total petroleum hydrocarbons was measured, the first was performe...

The waters of rivers, seas and lagoons contaminated by various sources, whether of natural or anthropogenic origin, contain polluting substances, among them they present a high bacterial load, which does not allow human consumption because it causes damage to human health. Therefore, the research carried out presents the study of the photocatalytic effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPS) as its mechanism of biochemical interaction with the consequent formation of reactive oxygen substances (ROS) and thus propose the interpretation of its subsequent Bactericidal effect by generating cellular damage in Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. According to the results obtained in an experimental pilot work, the decrease in colony formation evaluated through the plate culture method was reported, and it was determined that the concentration of 10- 4 g of ZnONPs/ mL of ZnO nanoparticles (synthesiz...
