Con el objetivo de conocer la diversidad y estado poblacional de primates, se realizó un estudio en la cuenca alta y baja del Putumayo durante los meses de abril y setiembre del 2019. Los datos se obtuvieron usando el método de transecto lineal que variaron entre 1,5 a 5 km de longitud, ubicados en bosque inundable y tierra firme. En ambas cuencas se recorrió un total de 838,8 km, donde se registraron 10 especies de primates, a nivel de cuencas, 9 correspondieron a la cuenca alta y 8 a la cuenca baja, a nivel de hábitats, las 10 especies se registraron en el bosque inundable, de estas, 8 también usaron el bosque de tierra firme. La dominancia fue baja entre cuencas y hábitats, mientras que, a nivel de localidades, Nuevo Belén mostró una alta dominancia, debido a la abundancia de Saimiri macrodon. Soil is the superficial part of the earth where plants grow, among them, species of economic importance that provide food, medicine and wood for local people, however, little has been studied about the influence of the soil on the plants in the Amazon Peruvian. Due to these reasons, the relationship between the physical-chemical characteristics of the soil and the diversity and structure in the forests in the area of the Iquitos-Nauta highway, Loreto, Peru, was evaluated. 102 pits for soil sampling and 37 plots of 50 x 20 m for vegetation study, were settled. Spearman's correlation index indicated that alpha diversity is negatively related to cation exchange capacity, potassium, phosphorus, and organic matter; and the structure (number of individuals) is negatively related to the amount of clay and pH.
