The research aimed to explain the construct Quality of Life associated with socio-educational factors and the sense of coherence in adolescents of Lima Metropolitan area. The study population consisted of 1211 adolescents aged 12 to 19 attending public and private educational institutions of Lima Metropolitan area. Data was obtained through the Questionnaire for Assessing Adolescent Students’ Quality of Life (CCVA), the Sense of Coherence Scale (SCS), and a questionnaire on the study variables Family Context, School Climate, and Risk Factors. The results show that the three dimensions of the sense of coherence are good predictors of quality of life. The socio-educational factors Family Context and School Climate presented statistically significant differences in quality of life levels depending on the socio-economic sectors.

En ámbitos clínicos y de la salud, el concepto de calidad de vida ha adquirido importancia alta como indicador útil de la salud en la infancia y la adolescencia; sin embargo, este concepto recién se está introduciendo en el sistema educativo y los hallazgos que se derivarían de él supondrían cambios estructurales que pocas políticas públicas han podido implementar. Esta investigación, bajo una perspectiva integral, tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre el sentido de coherencia, constructo bastante novedoso en psicología, y la calidad de vida de adolescentes, teniendo en cuenta variables del contexto socioeducativo como el rendimiento académico, el contexto familiar, el clima escolar y las actividades extracurriculares. Los resultados obtenidos permitirán identificar necesidades y planificar programas para la formación y desarrollo integral de los adolescentes.

La investigación tuvo como objetivo explicar el constructo de calidad de vida asociado a factores socioeducativos y sentido de coherencia en adolescentes de Lima Metropolitana. Participaron 1211 adolescentes, entre 12 y 19 años de edad, de instituciones educativas públicas y privadas de Lima Metropolitana. Se administraron el Cuestionario de Evaluación de la Calidad de Vida de Alumnos Adolescentes (CCVA), la Escala de Sentido de Coherencia y un cuestionario sobre las variables de estudio: contexto familiar, clima escolar y factores de riesgo. Los resultados muestran que las tres dimensiones del sentido de coherencia son predictoras de la calidad de vida. Los factores socioeducativos familiar y clima escolar presentaron diferencias estadísticas significativas en los niveles de calidad de vida según sectores socioeconómicos.

Computer fraud is a crime that increased in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in the world, and Peru was no exception. Therefore, we were interested in gathering Peruvians’ perspectives on the use of the press and social media in the dissemination and, eventually, their participation in a digital financial literacy strategy, as a preventive measure to avoid further losses from this crime. A survey of 429 residents in Metropolitan Lima and interviews with 25 victims of computer fraud revealed that Facebook and conventional television are the platforms most used to learn about the modus operandi of crime; that the majority do not share their experiences in the media because they distrust them or perceive that they do not contribute to clarifying their complaints.
