This study was conducted to determine the relationship between social skills and general self-efficacy in adolescent students of the VII cycle of regular state basic education, from Cerro de Pasco. The research was non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational in scope, with a sample of 353 students between 14 and 17 years old, belonging to the VII cycle of two secondary national educational institutions in Cerro de Pasco. The Social Skills Scale (EHS) and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSS) were used. The results indicate that social skills are positively and significantly related to general self-efficacy (r = 0.264, p < 0.01). Therefore, it can be said that the better the development of social skills in the adolescent, the greater the general self-efficacy.

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between family social environment and resilience in third, fourth and fifth year students of the secondary level of an educational institution in the North of Peru.  This is a cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational design study, with a population of 394 students aged 13 to 19. The instruments used were the Moos family social environment scale and the Wagnild and Young resilience scale. The results show that there is a relationship between the family social environment and resilience (rs =. 175, p <. 05). Also, the dimension of family social climate called "interpersonal relationships" (rs =. 123, p <. 05) presents a significant relationship and "personal development" shows a highly significant relationship with "resilience" (rs =. 211, p <. 01). However, the "Stability" dimension does not have a correlation wit...

Introduction: The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has affected people's way of life, and particularly, couple relationships. The main of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Couple Relationship Quality Scale (CRP-ASO) within the context of the lockdown due to COVID-19, in Peru. Methods: The CRP-ASO scale was applied to 499 adults (60 % women; Mage = 41.54 years, Sage = 13.48). The internal structure of the instrument was evaluated using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Reliability was also estimated by calculating Cronbach's alpha (α) and McDonald's omega (ꞷ). Results: The results indicated a four factors structure: consensus, complicity-intimacy, satisfaction in the relationship and stability in the relationship, with high indicators of internal consistency. Conclusion: It is concluded that the instrument has satisfactory ...

“Background: English is a global language used to communicate with members of the international community. Self-efficacy in learning English is an important factor that is influenced by perceived importance, interest, and beliefs about the ability to successfully perform tasks in English. Objective: The aim is to develop and validate a measurement instrument to assess English self-efficacy. Methods: A total of 453 students from different Peruvian universities participated, with ages ranging from 18 to 60 years (M = 23; SD = 6.18). Statistical techniques for latent variables were used and recommendations for educational and psychological tests were followed in its construction. The sample was divided into two groups to perform exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Results: The English Self-Efficacy Scale (ESS-P) is representative and relevan...
