A systematic review of the literature was carried out with the aim of analyzing existing research on the academic adjustment of university students, focusing on the application of the QVA and QVA-r instruments. The review covered studies published between 1995 and 2023, consulting databases such as Scopus, Redalyc and SciELO. The methodology followed the PRISMA Protocol and resulted in the selection and analysis of 39 studies. The findings showed a significant concentration of research in Brazil (69.23%), followed by Portugal (15.38%). Most studies were conducted between 2015 and 2018 (30.77%). The number of authors varied, with most involving three authors per publication (33.33%). The review highlighted the relationship between academic expectations and college adjustment, the importance of resilience in challenging contexts, the significant role of extracurricular activities, and the ...

The objective of the study was to develop a short version of the Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS), from the original version of 20 items, proposed by Watson et al. (1988a). The sample consisted of 3960 students from a public university in Lima. The results indicate that the validity of the internal structure, through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, was defined by 10 items and two dimensions. Positive affects are organized into five items: determined, optimistic, inspired, active, and attentive; while negative affects are in five items: irritable, hostile, angry, guilty, and ashamed. Likewise, it was found for the final short version, standardized coefficients with factorial loads between .48 and .85, as well as the fit indices of the model were in accordance with what was expected. Internal consistency reliability indicates Alpha and Omega coefficients grea...

Depression is a significant public health problem, which makes it necessary to understand the psychometric properties of the instruments used for its evaluation to facilitate better decision-making. The Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) is an instrument that achieves optimal accuracy levels in measuring depression. Therefore, the objective of this study was to conduct a meta-analysis to generalize its reliability. A systematic search conducted in Web of Science and Scopus between 2020 and 2022 retrieved 32 studies that applied the PHQ-9 and reported Cronbach's alpha. A random effects meta-analysis was performed to estimate the test reliability, while heterogeneity was assessed using Cochran's Q and I2 statistics. Potential moderating variables were examined through meta-regression and subgroup analyses. The combined reliability of the PHQ-9 was 0.846 (95% CI: 0.824-0.862). The Egger t...
